Thermaflect Cloth – Lightweight, High-Performance Heat Shield

Thermaflect Cloth is a lightweight, reflective heat shield that weighs 40% less than standard aluminized fiberglass mats. Designed for automotive heat protection, it reflects 90% of radiant heat when used with 1 inch of airspace and airflow. Ideal for under-hood heat shielding, fuel cells, intercooler pipes, and cold air intakes, it withstands 1,100°F radiant heat and 450°F direct heat. The high-temperature adhesive backing sticks to most clean surfaces, making installation easy. Not recommended for rough fiberglass or carbon fiber. Upgrade your vehicle’s heat defense with Thermaflect Cloth!

FAQ

Why don’t you recommend the self adhesive HP Heatshield Mat for rough unfinished fiberglass?

The peel and stick version of HP Heatshield Mat does not stick well to rough surfaces. You should use the non-adhesive version and use a spray adhesive like 3M Super Trim Adhesive or Super 77. The spray adhesives can fill in the surface inconsistencies of unfinished fiberglass or carbon better than peel-and-stick adhesives.
