HD Lava Turbo Shield – Built for Heat. Designed for Diesels.

The HD Lava Turbo Shield delivers maximum heat protection for diesel engines, industrial machinery, and performance turbochargers. We upgraded our proven #RaceTested turbo shield with stainless steel mesh to handle vibration and extreme heat in heavy-duty use.

This high-temperature turbo heat shield traps heat inside the turbo’s hot side. It improves spool time and lowers under-hood temps. Unlike metal turbo covers, it blocks radiant heat and protects wiring, hoses, and nearby components.

The outer layer is made from volcanic rock-based Lava Shield, which is 25% stronger than fiberglass wraps. It’s built to last. Inside, we pack a ½-inch Inferno Core insulation between the outer shell and a silica contact liner. This setup withstands up to 1800°F continuous and over 2000°F intermittent heat.

No cutting or trimming required. The shield installs fast and fits securely. It’s ideal for Tier 4 turbos, turbo manifolds, and off-road diesel equipment.

FAQ

My heavy duty turbo shield is smoking after it is installed, will it catch on fire?

No, it won’t catch fire. Some smoke is normal during initial use. The materials are non-combustible—what you’re seeing is the binder burning off from the textile layers. This is completely safe and expected. The smoke will stop on its own, usually within a few minutes to a few days, depending on how hot your turbo runs.
