HP Felt Shield – High-Temp Insulation for Diesel, Marine, and Industrial Use

HP Felt Shield is a tough, flexible heat insulation liner designed for high-temperature use in tight or limited spaces. It’s ideal for Tier 4 diesel systems, DPF retrofits, generators, marine engine rooms, and other heavy-duty environments where managing heat is critical.

Made from carbon-based felt with a reflective aluminum layer, HP Felt Shield handles up to 1800°F continuous and reflects up to 90% of radiant heat with just a 1″ air gap and airflow.

Two Simple Ways to Use It:

  • Use the foil side as a heat barrier to reflect radiant heat away from cold-side parts and surfaces.

  • Or, use the black felt side directly on exhaust components for insulation. Secure with clamps, ties, or fasteners.

HP Felt Shield is lightweight, flexible, and easy to cut, which makes it perfect for use in tight spots where bulkier materials won’t work.

It also helps reduce thermal signatures in armored vehicles, gun cases, and sensitive compartments. This makes it a great choice for military and tactical applications.

Where to Use It:

  • Diesel exhaust systems and Tier 4 emissions retrofits

  • Generator enclosures and turbo systems

  • Marine engine walls and exhaust piping

  • Vehicle underbodies and engine bays

  • Armored vehicle insulation and heat signature control

  • Manufacturing, petrochemical, and power generation equipment

HP Felt Shield is available in custom-cut shapes, sheets, or full rolls (10 yards x 53″) to fit any project or system.
