Armor Your Exhaust With the Industry’s Toughest Shield
Exhaust heat shields can reduce under-hood temperatures, protect vital components, minimize heat under floorboards, and improve exhaust gas flow for enhanced performance.
Heatshield Armor is your ultimate defense against extreme exhaust heat—from headers to mufflers, catalytic converters, and pipes. Ready to unlock its full potential? This step-by-step install video walks you through everything you need for a smooth, professional install. We’ll cover essential tools, expert tips, and a few bonus tricks to make the job even easier.
Conquer heat like never before—let’s get started!
The outer armor of Heatshield Armor® features a 4-mil aluminum layer resistant to the elements, ensuring long-lasting durability. Inside, our exclusive BioCool insulation, bonded to heavy-duty foil, withstands up to 1,800°F continuously, making it ideal for exhaust systems, turbo manifolds, downpipes, and diesel particulate filters. Installed directly on components, it outperforms clamp-on shields by effectively containing heat at the source.
No, tin snips are not necessary. Heavy duty scissors or a fresh blade in a utility knife with a straight edge works great for cutting Heatshield Armor.
For straight lengths of exhaust pipe, one tie per every 5-6 inches should be enough. For tighter bends like a 90 degree, one locking tie per every 3 inches on the outside of the bend works. Be sure you are using the wide ties as they grip the heat shield insulation better.
NO, do not use the tape to hold the Heatshield Armor in place. You can use the wide stainless-steel locking ties we offer, or you may use a hose clamp, safety wire, or other mechanical fastener to hold in its place. Any adhesive backed product should not come in contact with the exhaust system.
