Black Basalt Heat Sleeve for Wiring, Hoses & Fluid Lines
Stealth Sleeve™ is a black basalt heat sleeve designed to protect wiring, hoses, fluid lines, and other sensitive components from excessive heat. It starts with the proven basalt fiber construction used in our Lava™ Tube and adds a proprietary black coating. The result is rugged thermal protection with a clean, stealthy carbon-fiber-style appearance.
Stealth Sleeve™ handles continuous temperatures up to 1,200°F, making it an excellent choice for components routed near headers, exhaust systems, turbochargers, and other high-temperature areas. Unlike reflective heat sleeves that rely heavily on air space, Stealth Sleeve™ can provide effective proximity heat protection where a full 1-inch air gap is not practical.
The coated basalt construction also gives builders a darker appearance that blends naturally into engine bays, chassis areas, and custom installations. If appearance matters as much as heat protection, this black basalt heat sleeve provides a clean alternative to natural-color basalt sleeving.
Easy-to-Install Black Heat Shield Sleeve
Stealth Sleeve™ uses a hook-and-loop closure that makes installation quick and allows some adjustment to the sleeve diameter. You can install it around hoses, lines, and wire harnesses without disconnecting or removing the components first.
For best results, rotate the hook-and-loop seam away from the heat source. This places the most heat-resistant portion of the sleeve toward the source of radiant heat and helps provide long-lasting protection.
Stealth Sleeve™ comes in several diameters and lengths to fit a wide range of automotive applications. Choosing the appropriate size can also reduce the need for trimming during installation.
